This course is aimed at residents who want to find out about how they can be involved as equal partners in developing and reviewing Resident Involvement Strategies that ensure the views of residents are at the heart of everything their landlord does.
The course will look at existing and emerging Government Policy and Guidance on resident involvement, regulatory requirements and outline how these need to be reflected in Resident Involvement Strategies
We will look at how to develop Involvement and Empowerment Standards that ensure residents have a strong voice and can influence how their landlord does things
We will explore common pitfalls landlords and residents encounter when developing and implementing Resident Involvement Strategies and explain how these could be avoided
We will consider ways to monitor and track resident involvement and measure performance and value for money, including how new software packages could help
The course will conclude by looking at how to undertake a review and Impact Assessment for a Resident Involvement Strategy to encourage continuous improvement from involvement to genuine empowerment.
This day will be participative and provide plenty of opportunities for delegates to share experiences, issues, good practice and learn from each other.
Your trainer for the day will be Andy Sage. Andy is a TAROE (Tenants and Residents Organisations of England) Associate and has been working as a trainer since November 2003.
